BOARD OF DIRECTORS

BY PATIENTS, FOR PATIENTS 

Our board cares deeply about the community it serves because it is the community. Our board members live and work here, so there is a passion for the work our staff does daily. We are mission-oriented, but also know how to have a good time and meet people where they are. We gather in-person monthly business meetings, but also give the option to join meetings virtually.

JOIN OUR BOARD

No prior experience on a board is required!  All we're looking for is a positive attitude, willingness to be part of our conversations, and a passion for improving the lives of our friends and neighbors. If you've ever received healthcare, you have something to contribute to our cause.

SCHC board members can serve up to two consecutive 3-year terms. The board meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 5:30 pm. JOIN A COMMITTEE

Not ready to commit to full board membership? Non-board community members are welcome to serve on our committees!

Community Outreach Committee

  • Provides oversight and support for SCHC outreach and marketing activities to the public, employers, and community partners.

  • Meets 12:00 pm on the 1st Tuesday of even-numbered months. 

Quality Assurance (QA) Committee

  • Provides oversight of Quality Assurance & Improvement activities (e.g. credentialing and privileging, peer review, clinical policy review)

  • Meets 12:00 pm on the 3rd Wednesday of odd-numbered months.

Board Development Committee

  • Coordinates board member recruitment, new board member orientation efforts, ongoing board training, and self-evaluation.

  • Meets 12:00 pm on the 2nd Thursday of even-numbered months.

Finance Committee 

  • Monitors financial status and reporting; reviews annual budget; reviews financial policies.

  • Meets 12:00 pm on the 3rd Thursday of each month.

Building Committee

  • SCHC is building a new clinic! This committee is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project. Committee includes representatives from the SCHC board, former SCHC board members, and engaged members of the public.

  • Meets 12:00 pm on the 3rd Tuesday of odd-numbered months.
